The Eagle Bend’s 27 hole championship golf course, Bigfork, has been rated by many as one of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in the US -- rated #1 in Montana by Golf Digest for six consecutive years, and in the top 50 in the US. A first class golf experience awaits you! Enjoy the views of the majestic Swan Mountains and the Flathead River and Lake as well. Nine other fine golf courses are within an hour’s drive.
Big Mountain Golf Club, Kalispell, is a sister club to Eagle Bend and currently membership at Eagle Bend affords you golf rights at Big Mountain Golf Club. The course is more open and rolling with Scottish links on the front nine and a more wooded back nine bordering the Stillwater River.
Buffalo Hill Golf Club, Kalispell, has 27 holes of golf on some challenging, undulating fairways and greens. The log club house is very comfortable and a popular place for the locals.
Village Greens Golf Club, Kalispell, offers a more level playing course and is known for its affordability -- both in the course rates and in the homes bordering the fairways. Locals enjoy Seniors Day every Tuesday and Thursday.
Whitefish Lake Golf Club, Whitefish, has 36 holes of great golf with a North course and a South course. Opened in 1936, it is beautiful, scenic and challenging. The log clubhouse has a great reputation for fine dining.
Meadow Lake Golf Resort, Columbia Falls, an 18 hole course with a beautiful setting as a recreation resort.
Glacier View Golf Club, West Glacier, is a fun, family-friendly 18 hole course. With a more rugged Montana setting, you might need to watch for Moose divots. A delightful experience to bring home with you.
Polson Country Club, Polson, has 27 holes of great golf with beautiful, but distracting views of Flathead Lake. As spring rolls around, it seems most golfers start off in Polson to take advantage of warmer weather sooner.
Mission Mountain Country Club, Ronan, has 18 holes, a country setting, and fabulous views of the majestic Mission Mountains.

The Lighter Side of Golf:

~Eight Iron~
Off the seventh tee, Joe sliced his shot deep into a wooded ravine. He took his eight iron and clambered down the embankment in search of his lost ball. After many long minutes of hacking at the underbrush, he spotted something glistening in the leaves. As he drew nearer, he discovered that it was an eight iron in the hands of a skeleton! Joe immediately called out to his friend, "Jack, I've got trouble down here!" "What's the matter?" Jack asked from the edge of the ravine. "Bring me my wedge," Joe shouted. "You can't get out of here with an eight iron.
~Put? Or Putt?~
The schoolteacher was taking her first golfing lesson.
"Is the word spelled p-u-t or p-u-t-t?'' she asked the instructor.
"P-u-t-t is correct,'' he replied.
"Put means to place a thing where you want it. Putt means merely
a vain attempt to do the same thing."

~Fore!~
My five-year-old nephew wanted to caddy for my brother. "You have to count my strokes," my brother told him. "How much is six plus nine plus eight?" ..."Five," answered the nephew. "Okay," my brother said, "let's go."
Weather:
If you find you do not mind playing golf in the rain, the snow, even during a hurricane, here's a valuable tip:
your life is in trouble.
Marriage:
Golf is like marriage: If you take yourself too seriously it won't work, and both are expensive.

~Scratch Golfer~
Two women were put together as partners in the club tournament and met on the putting green for the first time. After introductions, the first golfer asked, "What's your handicap?" "Oh, I'm a scratch golfer," the other replied. "Really!" exclaimed the first woman suitably impressed that she was paired up with her. "Yes, I write down all my good scores and scratch out the bad ones!"
